The Horwin SK3 electric scooter was unveiled in Europe – It is not expected to be launched in India.
Over the last few months, electric mobility has grown significantly, especially in the two-wheeler market. Not only in India but also overseas, new battery-powered vehicles are making their debut.
Generally, electric scooters are driven more by practicality than looks, but Horwin’s latest e-scooter named SK3 stands out. The Austria-based EV brand was able to achieve the right balance for the new SK3.

Electric Scooter SK3 by Horwin – Design
Horwin SK3’s sleek design styling from Maxi scooters, unlike conventional EVs. A twin LED headlamp cluster is mounted on the apron of this scooter, giving it the appearance of a BMW C400 GT. The apron also houses a small and adjustable flyscreen. This scooter has many creases and cuts along its panels, giving it a modern yet utilitarian appearance.
As an option, a luggage mounting rack or a pannier box with a pillion backrest can be fitted to the relatively flat seat. In essence, it is designed both for daily commutes and for long-distance touring.
Powertrain, Hardware Specifications

A 6.2kW electric motor powers the SK3, which is powered by a 2.52kWh lithium-ion battery. According to the manufacturer, the top speed is limited to 90 kmph, and the range is 80 kilometres on a single charge. It is possible to extend the range up to 160 km by adding an optional additional battery pack. Inclusion of the second battery, however, will significantly reduce under-seat storage.
A standard charger of 8A will be provided by Horwin to its customers. The SK3’s features include full LED lighting, a digital LCD instrument panel, keyless operation, and cruise control. The scooter features a simple suspension setup comprising telescopic forks at the front and dual rear springs at the rear. The wheels are black, multi-spoke alloy wheels.

INR 3.42 lakh).
