At the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Ram unveiled their close-to-production concept of the upcoming 1500 Revolution model. This show truck is a visual departure from prior trucks but still keeps several iconic features that will be instantly recognizable to viewers. It provides an exciting glimpse into how this renowned truck manufacturer intends to bring its design into the future.
The signature daytime running lights of the front fascia split the light clusters, with a glowing 3D Ram badge that stands out. With an overall rugged aesthetic and shorter front than today’s ICE Ram 1500 for improved passenger compartment size, you can expect more spaciousness in this truck.
From the side, the 1500 Revolution BEV has a sleek design for a truck. Its A-pillar slants back giving it an elegant look that stands out from other trucks in its class – even more so than the Rivian R1T! Performance wise we can only speculate how well it will do on roads until we have seen it in action.
The manufacturer of the electric 1500 concept forecasts an exciting future with Level 3+ self driving capability, exterior projectors to provide a unique movie theater experience and also communicate important information to passengers, as well as Shadow Mode that allows the vehicle to follow hikers on off-road trails. This cutting edge technology will revolutionize how we explore our world.
The concept truck is based on Stellantis’ STLA Frame architecture and contains a potent dual-motor system that produces all-wheel drive. While the manufacturer has not specified the power output of this setup, an earlier report suggested it could be as powerful as 885 horsepower – enough to make it lightning quick.
