We aren't sure of the source for this information However, it is reported by the BMW fan forum it appears that the electrical 3 Series will be built by BMW Group's Plant San Luis Potosi in Mexico to be sold on its North American market.

It is also intriguing is that this rumor suggests that the United States and/or Canada will receive a long-roof version the brand new i3 once it launches in the next decade.
