Ducati Pulls The Covers Off Its 2023 MotoE V21L Bike In Modena

The 30th of June, 2022 Ducati officially unveiled its brand new 2023 MotoE motorcycle called the V21L which was unveiled at a intimate but exclusive gathering in Modena.

A small group of European journalists attended Casa Maria Luigia (which is the chef Massimo Bottura's B&B) for the occasion, but now they will be able to inform the rest of us about the bike.

Based on what we can see from the images the V21L that was unveiled earlier in the morning is very much like that of the V21L version the company Ducati was testing.

The livery, however, is obviously, distinct and refined. A portion of the carbon fibers are covered while some are left exposed to showcase its stunning and distinctive grain.

The red line graphics in dark gray and matte black create the sensation of electricity within your mind, which is a sure indicator of successful visual communication.

Ducati's V21L design appears at first glance like a Ducati. The immediate visual clues don't shout "electric motorbike" as we're accustomed to from other examples of the same genre.

What are the other information that has emerged concerning the Ducati MotoE bicycle? The MotoE's first generation is believed to weigh an impressive 225 kg, or less than 496 pounds.

A large portion of the weight is due to 110 kilograms (approximately 242.5 pounds) battery that is an 18 kWh unit specifically created to work with the bike. It also connects direct with the swingarm.

What is the power? Peak claims 110 kW or 150 horsepower, and 103 lbs of torque. It's capable of running the required seven laps on the GP track, which is what Dorna would like to use to race on in its MotoE races.

Other important components are the Ohlins NPX 25/30 pressurized fork that has 43mm upside-down tubes which is a derivative of the Superleggera V4.
