GMC Hummer EV Pickup And SUV See $6,250 Price Hike Across The Board
Although the GMC Hummer EV is one of the most expensive electric vehicles on sale in the United States at the moment, it's not immune to inflation.
The base manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) for all new reservations for the GMC Hummer EV pickup or SUV placed on or after June 18 will increase by $6,250.
As a result of "a rise in the cost of commodity parts, technology, and logistics", the automaker is increasing prices.
It is important to note, however, that all existing Hummer EV reservations placed before June 18-a total of over 77,500 as of June 17-will not see an increase in their base MSRP.
For reservations placed after June 18, the automaker says the final price is determined by the options and packages selected as well as the price the customer and dealership agree upon.
MSRP is added to options and packages as before. More information about the available options and packaging will be made available to customers of the GMC Hummer EV 3X Pickup in the near future.
GMC's customer website lists the 3X trim level for $99,995, but new reservations made after June 18 will be charged $106,245.
After the Edition 1 has sold out, the Hummer EV 3X features a tri-motor AWD powertrain with up to 830 horsepower and a 300-mile range.
