However Lexus is believed to be developing a lower-cost variant of the RZ that may include the powertrain of either of these lower-priced models.

CarBuzz discovered a trademark that was that was filed with Lexus in Lexus with EUIPO and in the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property that refers to an RZ300e.

We aren't sure what engine is driving this likely the base model of the RZ however we are sure that it's likely to be the engine from the two mentioned models that share the same platform.

To give you an idea, the RZ450e is a dual motor setup that produces 308 horsepower as well as the equivalent of 320 pounds of torque.

Sufficient for a sprint time of 60 miles per hour (100 kilometers/h) which is 5.6 seconds.

In contrast, the Toyota Solterra is available with front-wheel drive only, powered by a 204 hp front motor and two 18 horsepower dual-motor all-wheel drive system.

The Subaru Solterra is only available with this setup in the US and Canada, but in other markets it could be offered with front-wheel drive.

We're fairly certain that it's among these engines to be integrated into the RZ300e and we're expecting that it will be an all-wheel drive motor.
