Sony and Honda create joint EV company

Sony and Honda have officially signed a joint venture agreement to establish a company to build electric cars together. The new company will be called “Sony Honda Mobility Inc.,” notably giving Sony top billing over the established automaker.

Also, Sony will focus on "mobility services" after announcing Sony Mobility, Inc. in January.

In 2025, Sony Honda Mobility Inc. will start selling its first electric vehicle and providing mobility services.

Honda and Sony haven't revealed any more details about their upcoming car or which platform it will be based upon.

Since the last three CES conferences, Sony has been exhibiting its VISION-S concept EV to demonstrate their EV ambition.
