US Mazda MX-30 Sales Decreased In July

Mazda automobile sales in the US declined to 28.5 percent year-over-year, to 23,393 units, which means the majority of models were down.

Through the first quarter of this calendar year, they have has sold the equivalent of 166,195 vehicles which is 25.1 percent less than a year earlier.

The general decline in sales could be due to the lack of inventory and this is a major issue for all industries.

However, our focus is on electric vehicles which, for Mazda are particularly scarce.

In July, only eight Mazda MX-30 were sold. Based on our data it was the lowest month-long sales since the MX-30 was launched in the latter half of 2021.

For the Mazda MX-30, the numbers have never been very high. In March, 101 vehicles were purchased but after that the sales have slowed down to 33, 78, and 8 the last month.

In total, Mazda sold 324 MX-30 in the first half of this year, and more than 500 in total. This is one of the smallest electric vehicle fleets in history over an 11-month period.

It's difficult to determine if Mazda MX-30 sales will improve by a few additional deliveries or if they'll stay at a low rate as an EV compliance model.

The automobile market that is electric is intense in the present with the introduction of more vehicles, as well with the many challenges facing production and the economy.

For instance, the Mazda MX-30, with just 100 miles (161 km) of EPA range, may face it difficult to draw buyers.
