This likely has to do with significant supply issues and the lack of new vehicles.

The company has reported 78,281 car deliveries in the second quarter of 2018 which is 34% lower than the same period last year.

In the same period, Volkswagen ID.4 deliveries fell 71% over the course of the year to 1,660, or 1.2 percent of the total number.

This is clearly the worst outcome since the introduction in the ID.4 within the US and, when you consider the huge number of orders ( more than 40,000 reservations as in 2021)

But, we think that the actual change in the ID.4 is related to local production in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Yet, despite only a limited supply, the total amount of Volkswagen ID.4 sold in the U.S. is now above 200.000 (21,157 at July 31st).
