Volkswagen Unveils ID. Aero Concept Of Global Electric Sedan


Volkswagen has announced today its brand new ID. Aero concept that hints at the all-electric future global car that is based on the MEB structure.

The event was live in China in China, where the production version is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2023.

The car will be developed independently by two joint ventures FAW-Volkswagen as well as SAIC Volkswagen.

The car will be launched in Europe as well as across North America, becoming Volkswagen's global flagship EV model.

As you can observe it, the Volkswagen ID is a bit different. The Aero concept is reminiscent of the other IDs of Volkswagen's family.

The German manufacturer emphasizes that the car's style is highly aerodynamically efficient because its drag coefficient is only 0.23.

Aerodynamics is one of the key factors in increasing the range of driving to a preliminary estimate of 385 miles (620 km).
